Homepages
Hello to everyone in this online Public Relations course. I feel that it is going to be a very fun semester of getting to know many of you that I have never had the opportunity to get to know or I would have never met if it wasn't for this course. I feel that this class is going to give us not only a great opportunity to get to know each other well, but also it will give us the chance to help one another learn from each other an to make us better writers. Also this class will also help us to be able to look at all views on the many different topics that we will be covering throughout the semester, both from the book and from real life events that will take place. I have had fun reading the Homepages that have been published thus far and I look forward to reading everyone who has yet to publish theirs. I love meeting new people so throughout this class I feel that I am going to build many relationships with classmates and get them know them and their views on topics as well. I feel that my classmates are going to help me look at different topics in ways I may have never thought about. They will also help me to start thinking more about public events that are taking place in our world today. I hope everyone else is just as excited as I am for this class. It seems like it may be a lot of work, but I also feel that is it only going to benefit us. Having to blog and reply to classmates is only going to help all of us to stay on top of the latest events. Also i feel that the home pages are going to help us understand that we are each our own person and that we need to respect one another views on topics when we are sending replies as well. Best of luck to everyone this semester and I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for the class and your willingness to be of assistance to anyone who wants help. That is very generous of you. However, I have one small critique of your post for today--please try to use more paragraphs in the future. It makes it so much easier to read than one long one. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey, I am ready to expand my horizons with the rest of the class and you. I agree that blogging will help us learn more about each other and the topics at hand. I am excited to start this adventure of a class to learn with you and everyone else. I also feel that this will help us grow our friendship to a greater togetherness. Thanks for your blog and we will be in touch.
ReplyDeleteHi, I am very glad to see that you also think this class will be a huge learning experience. I feel public relations is something that is very important in any job. After looking at everyone's homepages it is easy to see that there are a lot of people that I will be able to learn from. We have students in college here at VCSU in many different majors and there are also students that are already out there living their lives all over the country. They have been in the job force and I think through their blogs we will be able to learn a lot by their true life experiences. Keep up with the good work and I look forward to getting to know you as well as everyone in the class as well.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that this is going to be a GREAT learning experience and an intersting spin on traditional learning methods. I can't wait to see what comes out of this class. I look forward to this class and to "working" with all of you and learning not only from this class but from you and everyone else as well.
ReplyDeleteI think that PR people all subscribe to the old adage “if at first you don’t succeed try try again!” PR specialists are known for their creative ways of delivering a message not to mention the clarity of the message. Every organization needs a good PR person to get the correct message to the pulic.
ReplyDeleteI have a sign above my desk that says “Perception = Image” or some say perception equals reality. Either way you say it, it still means that what you present to the public and the people you associate with in public gives others the perception of who you or a company are whether it is valid observation or not.
Think about the photos you see of celebrities – do they always mean what is displayed?
